Philadelphia Chapter of The Links Incorporated
The Philadelphia Chapter is the founding chapter for The Links, Incorporated. On the evening of November 9, 1946, Margaret Hawkins and Sarah Scott two young Philadelphia matrons, invited seven of their friends to join them in organizing a new type of inter-city club. In 2011 we will celebrate 65 years of service in a community minded purposeful organization for Black women based on the principles of friendship and service. As you tour our website, you will learn more about us and our community initiatives in the Greater Philadelphia region. |
